I believe the Bruno character portrayed by Sacha Baron Cohen in his latest movie and all other movies here on out should be banned or boycotted at the very least. I did not know what the buzz was about with the Austrian Ambassador Emil Brix intensely disliking this character. I knew he did not want the Bruno character being associated in anyway to Austria and that was the extent of my knowledge of this. But I was self educated last night and now understand how dangerous this character is. Under the guise of "humor" Bruno states the “Austrian Dream” is to “have a job, find a dungeon and raise a family there”. Referring to Josef Fritzl a monster who imprisoned his 11 year old daughter , built a dungeon complete with cells, molested and
raped her for over 20 years , fathered numerous children via incest .....should I go on? The Austrian Dream ? If I was not only the Ambassador for Austria but a citizen of Austria or a citizen of any country I would be calling for a boycott of all his material. This is not humor and should not be joked about at all. This is telling of a societies morals and character going to hell.

Here is a little dose of reality for my friend the TruthMyster..or should I call you TruthShyster? You are selling Truth for free...but it is merely opinion. Opinion based on what? Your moral values? Opinion in my mind is not always the truth. Look closely at the photo in the link above..it is TRUTH. Austrian Television host Alfons Haider. This is the "man" that Mr. Cohen based his "Bruno" character on. Notice I said character..Is this character?

By all definitions, Bruno is a character. It is an exaggerated, made up person based upon a real person. Not unlike some of Jim Carrey's characters...Fire Marshall Bill, Ace Ventura, The Cable Guy...They are made up and usuall following any movie, good or bad, you will see these words scroll across the screen:
"Characters and events depicted in this film are ficticious. Any similarity to actual persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental."
I guess the only Truth behind anyone being upset by Mr. Cohen is the simple fact that they are jealous that they did not have the Kugelsack to do it first! Now granted, he may not be the most talented actor to hit the silver screen, but he also played in "Sweeney Todd" as the dandy barber in competition with Johnny Depp...should England ban him for his representation of Barbers?

People make jokes daily, some more tasteful than others... But about these freedoms that you speak of... Isn't one of the the freedom to express ourselves?
Maybe that is why Mr. Cohen can make millions with this character...only in America..Land of the free, home of the brave!

Freedom of speech is GREAT unless it
is intended for evil. Mr. Cohen has a right to freedom of speech as much as anybody.
Again this is my opinion PC- which is my right to freedom of speech. People have the right to
boycott my blog. I am expressing my right.

By the way... Did you know that Bono, Sting, Slash, and Sir Elton John all sang with Bruno at the end of the film?
I thought Elton John was dead- seriously.
